Two Arrests in the Aftermath of London Heathrow Irritant Spray Attack

The assault resulted in the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area.

Two more people have been arrested in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

These detentions come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later discharged.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault close to the location. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were called at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals injured by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The attack - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
